Description
A vintage Ideal Toy Corp. skill-based action game titled The Game of Jaws, produced in 1975 under license from Universal Pictures. The lot consists of a molded plastic shark with a spring-loaded hinged jaw and a collection of game accessories. The accessories include one gray plastic gaff hook and nine plastic junk pieces comprising one white skull, one white bone, and seven blue pieces: an anchor, a boot, a tire, a glove, a pistol attached to a wheel, and a radio. One side of the tail fin is embossed with the inscription ? 1975 UNIVERSAL PICTURES. The reverse side of the tail fin is embossed with the manufacturer information: MFG – IDEAL TOY CORP. HOLLIS, N.Y. 11423. The shark is constructed from gray molded plastic and features a mechanical trigger inside the mouth designed to snap the jaw shut during gameplay. This set is partially complete and does not include the original box.
