Description
11x11x28 This mid-20th-century convex wall mirror is executed in the Federal Revival style by Dart Industries. The frame is constructed from a molded composite material with a dark bronze-toned finish and gilt accents throughout. The design is topped with a prominent eagle finial featuring outstretched wings and detailed plumage, perched upon a scrolled foliate crest. The circular mirror housing features an inner border decorated with twelve gilt-finished spherical studs and is finished with a scrolled pendant at the base. The center contains a circular convex glass mirror plate, providing a wide-angle reflection typical of the girandole style. The reverse of the frame bears the molded marks COPYRIGHT, the copyright symbol, DART IND., MADE IN USA, and the production number 4410. The mirror assembly is secured by a wood-grain fiberboard backing and four screws.
