Description
11 in tall Antique manual butter churn manufactured by the Dazey Churn & Mfg. Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. The assembly consists of a square-profile molded clear glass jar with a screw-top metal lid. A cast iron hand-crank gear mechanism is mounted to the lid, which drives a central vertical metal shaft. This shaft is fitted with a four-blade wooden paddle system designed for agitating cream. The exterior crank handle features a turned wooden knob. The glass jar is embossed with DAZEY on one face and CHURN CO. on the opposing face.
