Description
7 in long This two-piece covered dish is fashioned from transparent olive green pressed glass, a style prevalent in mid-20th century American decorative arts. The lidded portion is shaped like a hen with distinct feather textures on the body and wings, an upright tail, and a molded comb. The oval base features a stippled texture on the exterior surface and is bordered by a beaded rim. The underside of the base contains a small, embossed circular mark that is worn and not clearly legible. The design and color palette resemble the mid-century productions of the Indiana Glass Company. Approximately 7 inches in length.
