Description
This lot consists of eight individual 25-round boxes of vintage 9mm ammunition manufactured by Fabrique Nationale d’Armes de Guerre in Herstal, Belgium, for a total of 200 cartridges. The ammunition is packaged in two-piece cardboard boxes featuring green paper labels with bilingual text in Spanish and French. Verbatim markings on the labels include 25 CARTUCHOS, L?ger – Browning CAL. 9 mm, and FABRIQUE NATIONALE D’ARMES DE GUERRE SOC. AN. HERSTAL-LEZ-LIEGE (BELGIQUE). The side of the boxes prominently display the OXYLESS non-corrosive primer brand mark. Each cartridge is constructed with a brass case and a round-nose full metal jacket bullet. The primers are protected with a purple lacquer sealant. The headstamps are clearly marked with FN at the twelve o’clock position and 47 at the six o’clock position, indicating a manufacture date of 1947.
