Description
This collection features a variety of vintage fishing lures and tackle from several prominent North American manufacturers. Identifiable items within the group include a C. C. Roberts Bait Co. Mud Puppy jointed lure in its original retail box from Mosinee, Wisconsin; a South Bend Bait wooden popper in a classic yellow and red retail box; a Fred Arbogast Hawaiian Wiggler in original plastic and cardboard packaging; and an Eppinger Dardevle lure. Other manufacturers represented through visible labels and original packaging include Kwikfish from East Windsor, Ontario; Golden Eye featuring the Bump N Grind model; Tackle Industries Skitter surface lure; Coho Silver Flathead; and Owen?s Spinning Lures from Oro Station, Ontario. Also present are lures by Cordell, Water Loo, and a Mercury Minnow housed in a cylindrical plastic container. The collection comprises lures constructed from painted wood, molded plastic, and metal. Included is a large, loose hand-carved wooden fish decoy with a red and black painted finish and metal fins. Several pieces retain original retail boxes, clear plastic display cases, or carded blister packs, some of which feature patent marks such as PAT’D or PAT. 412.
