Description
Signs are 12×8 A collection of three vintage outdoor items comprising two metal state agency signs and a wooden turkey caller. The first sign is an official Connecticut Board of Fisheries and Game notice that reads PERMIT REQUIRED TO HUNT ON THIS AREA. It is marked with the code GM-8 and SCIOTO SIGNS, KENTON, O. 66. The second metal sign, produced for the Connecticut Board Fish and Game, identifies a DEMARCATION LINE BETWEEN POND & RIVER. It is marked FM-28/500/4-56 and SCIOTO SIGN CO., KENTON, O. Both signs are constructed of enameled or painted metal with pre-drilled holes for mounting. The third item is a Lynch’s World Champion Turkey Caller, Model No. 102. This wooden box-style caller is dated 1958 and features the mark This Box Made & Tested by M. L. Lynch Co. on the side. The side of the caller includes printed instructions stating USE THIS SIDE OF BOX TO IMITATE THE HEN. The caller is constructed of finished wood with a metal pivot screw and rubber bands.
