Description
66 x 84 An American vintage patchwork scrap quilt constructed from an eclectic variety of printed cotton fabrics. The front panel is pieced with rectangular strips and geometric blocks, featuring a central vertical row of four stylized star or pinwheel motifs. The fabric patterns represent a range of mid-20th-century designs including florals, stripes, checks, and polka dots in a multi-chromatic palette. The quilt is hand-pieced and secured with white thread ties. The reverse side is constructed from four large rectangular fabric panels: a blue and white gingham with floral sprigs, a blue fabric with trailing pink rose vines, and two sections of a green fabric featuring a purple diamond lattice floral pattern. The quilt contains an internal fibrous batting.
