The reverse is composed of off-white cotton fabric repurposed from commercial textile or feed sacks, bearing several faint ink stamps. Visible text on these stamps includes FULL BLEACHED 36 IN, W.T. CO. ? BLOCKTON, and No. 4 ? N.Y. & N.J. The aesthetic of the irregular patchwork and vertical composition is in the style of African American quilts from the Gee’s Bend tradition.
