An antique cast iron combination tool manufactured by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This heavy-duty piece was designed for multiple kitchen and agricultural functions, serving as a lard press, fruit press, and sausage stuffer. The unit features a cylindrical body mounted on a four-footed flared base with holes for securing to a workbench. The pressing mechanism is operated by a manual crank with a turned wooden handle, driving a screw-fed plate through a set of bevel gears. The top arch is embossed with ENTERPRISE MFG CO and PHILA. U.S.A. The frame is marked with the number 2092. The internal pressing plate is cast with the word LARGE and the number 1789. There are designated lubrication points marked OIL near the gear housing. The unit includes a bottom discharge spout for the extrusion of processed materials.
