Description
This is a mid-20th-century automotive advertising collectible designed for retail tire display. The stand is constructed from sheet metal with an orange painted finish. Both sides feature the Firestone brand logo in a Gothic-style script set within a dark blue rectangular field. This central graphic is bordered by a cream and orange frame. The stand consists of two symmetrical panels joined by pivot hinges at the sides, allowing the structure to expand to support a vehicle tire. A blue manufacturer stamp is located on the lower corner of one panel, identifying the maker as Cardinal Products of Barnesville, Ohio, and includes a partial patent number starting with 2,19. This item is typical of American service station and tire shop advertising from the late 1940s to early 1950s.
