Description

40x20x38 Manufactured by the J.H. Rosberg Mfg. Co. of Chicago, this specialized watchmaker’s or jeweler’s workbench is constructed from hardwood with a dark-stained finish. The piece features a light-toned wood work surface with a raised wrap-around gallery on three sides and a recessed rectangular panel inset into the center. The configuration includes thirteen drawers of varying dimensions designed for the storage of small tools and components, including a vertical stack of eight narrow drawers on the right, two wide shallow drawers in the central block, and additional drawers on the left. All drawers are fitted with integrated, recessed finger-pull handles. A large central pull-out work tray features a characteristic semi-circular cutout for close-up craft work. The lower structure of the bench includes a horizontal support bar that functions as a footrest and a small accessory shelf mounted on the lower-left interior side. A gold-toned manufacturer’s decal for the J.H. Rosberg Mfg. Co. is located on the interior face of the rear gallery. The bench retains legacy electrical wiring and a power cord on the left side.
