Description
A collection of twelve vintage die-cast model vehicles from the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear series, manufactured by Lesney Products and Co. Ltd. in England. The vehicles are constructed of die-cast metal with various plastic components such as seats, roofs, and wheels. The assortment features a variety of early 20th-century automotive styles, including limousines, roadsters, and a commercial delivery van. Notable models include a green 1910 Benz Limousine and a blue delivery van with Matchbox Speed Shop decals. The vehicles are housed in an original Models of Yesteryear display case. The case is constructed of blue vinyl-covered material with two metal snap closures and a blue felt-lined interior tray containing sixteen individual compartments. The exterior of the case features a large yellow graphic label with the series title and central vintage car illustration. Underside chassis markings on the vehicles include the series name, model identification, and manufacturer attribution to Lesney. The display case label is marked as a Lesney Product and includes a 1967 copyright for the Fred Bronner Corporation.
