Description
This collection primarily features die-cast vehicles from the Matchbox line by Lesney, spanning several series including Models of Yesteryear, King Size, Major Pack, and standard numbered releases. Boxed examples include a Y-14 1935 E.R.A. R.I.B. Grand Prix car in blue with yellow wheels, a Y-12 1937 G.M.C. Van in black with Goblin Electric Cleaners livery, and a Y-30 1920 Model AC Mack truck with Kiwi Boot Polish advertising. A special edition orange box for a Y-10 1931 A.E.C. Trolleybus Diddler is included without the vehicle. Loose die-cast models consist of a blue Smith’s Potato Crisps van, a metallic green Mercury Commuter station wagon featuring two molded dog figures in the rear window, a Scammell Constructor with Pickfords low-loader trailer, a Case tractor bulldozer, a Guy Warrior tractor unit, a Greyhound bus, and a Car Collection Ltd car transporter trailer. Additional collectibles include a pair of fabric Buddy L Outdoor suspenders in original plastic packaging with a cardboard header labeled for the Buddy L Line from Moline Pressed Steel Co., which retains a vintage retail tag from George’s Train House. A small molded plastic Mickey Mouse figurine in a yellow shirt and red shorts is also present.
