Description
Attributed to the Japanese manufacturer Yonezawa, this battery-operated toy is identified as the Grand-Pa Car. Styled after a brass-era veteran automobile, the toy is constructed with a lithographed tin body finished in maroon with gold-tone pinstriping. The vehicle includes gold-tone plastic or die-cast components for the headlights, side-mounted lanterns, and radiator grill. The wheels feature orange-spoked lithography and black tires, with a spare tire mounted to the rear. A metal toggle switch for operation is located on the lower radiator grill, marked with ON and OFF. The original color-illustrated cardboard box is included, featuring graphics of a palace guard and the vehicle. A manufacturer mark featuring a Y within a stylized diamond shape is visible on the radiator and box art.
