Description
This collection comprises eleven decorative bone china plates manufactured by Royal Worcester in England. The plates feature kitten-themed designs from several series produced during the mid-1980s. The group includes issues from the Kitten Classics series (circa 1985) titled Cat Nap, Purrfect Treasure, Wild Flower, Birdwatcher, Tiger’s Fancy, Country Kitty, and Little Rascal. Also included are two plates from the Kitten Encounters series featuring artwork by Pam Cooper, titled Fishful Thinking and Puppy Pal. The collection is completed by a plate from the Litter Rascals series by Jurgen Scholz titled Frisky Business and a collage plate depicting multiple kittens. Each plate is crafted from fine bone china with multi-color transfer-printed decorations and finished with a gold-toned gilt rim. The reverse of each plate displays a printed backstamp identifying the manufacturer, series, and specific issue title. Several plates retain original wire wall hangers and foil inspection stickers.
