Description
This Adlake Kero railroad lantern features a metal wire-frame construction with a gold-toned surface finish. The top ventilation cap is stamped with the manufacturer’s name ADLAKE, a square emblem containing the letter E, and the model name KERO. The lantern is equipped with a clear glass globe etched with ERIE RR, indicating its historical use by the Erie Railroad. The globe also displays an embossed CNX trademark within an oval, signifying manufacture by Corning Glass Works. The internal metal burner assembly is marked ADLAKE 300 and contains a wick. The structure includes a protective wire cage surrounding the globe and a tall wire bail handle. A paper inventory tag is currently attached to the bail.
