Lot 498:
Description
This lot comprises two ceramic sponge cake or bundt molds featuring a heavy Rockingham-style mottled glaze. Each vessel is constructed with a central hollow tube or flue designed to distribute heat evenly during the baking process. The forms are crafted from earthenware, traditionally referred to as yellow ware. The first mold features a deeper profile with a spiraled fluted pattern on the interior and a smooth, tapered exterior.
