Henry Troemner Oak & Marble Case Scale
Description
13.5 x 8 in. A precision prescription or apothecary balance scale housed in a glazed oak wood case with a white veined marble platform. The instrument features dual circular brass pans suspended over a central mechanical movement. An indicator needle registers against a vertical graduated center index scale made of a white material, possibly celluloid or bone. The mechanism is operated by a brass arrestment and release knob located at the center front of the wooden base.
