Dietz Vesta NY Central Lines Lantern
Description
An American pressed tinplate and wire railroad lantern manufactured by Dietz. The top cap features an embossed oval mark reading DIETZ VESTA, bordered above by NEW YORK and below by U.S.A. The shoulder is stamped in raised serif lettering N.Y.C.L., with adjacent patent markings partially legible as PATENTED with remnants of DEC and NOV dates. The clear molded glass globe is embossed at the upper section with a Corning CNX circular logo and text reading VESTA NEW YORK U.S.A., and is further embossed.
