Painted Pine Carpenter's Tool Chest
Description
35 x 11 in. An antique American utilitarian carpenter’s or joiner’s tool chest constructed from pine. The exterior features a dark painted finish, a molded plinth base, and a molded rectangular hinged lid. The exterior hardware includes heavy cast iron drop-bail side handles, iron butt hinges along the back, an inset keyhole plate at the front, and an inset metal plate positioned on the right top surface of the lid. The interior retains its natural unfinished wood surfaces and is fitted with two removable, divided.
