Description
53 x 12 in. An antique wooden hand-drawn sled featuring a primitive European design. The construction utilizes steam-bent wood for the long, curved runners, which are reinforced on the underside with iron or steel shoes. The sled is built with vertical struts supporting a slatted wooden deck. The frame is assembled with a combination of slot-head screws and hand-wrought iron braces connecting the runners to the seat frame.
