Collection of English Brass Horse
Description
Six cast brass decorative horse harness medallions featuring traditional motifs. The group includes one circular brass with a scalloped edge containing the openwork characters V I R beneath a small crown and above the date 1870. A second medallion depicts a phoenix rising from flames within a circular frame. A third features a stag’s head at gaze within a border composed of a series of small circular piercings.
