Strip Patchwork Tied Utility Quilt
Description
73 x 83 in.; quilt. A handmade utility tie quilt or comforter constructed from various recycled textile scraps. The top features a strip or columnar patchwork pattern composed of diverse 20th-century fabrics, including red and white polka dot cotton, blue and white micro-check, various horizontal stripes, a yellow floral damask print, and off-white cotton. Notable prints include a white fabric with a blue floral and mushroom motif and a white fabric with pink floral sprigs. The backing is made of a solid lime green fleece-like fabric.
