Lot 274:
Set 4 Victorian Style Silhouettes
Description
7 x 9 in. A set of four portrait silhouettes in the Victorian style, each depicting a bust in profile against a tan paper background. The collection features two male and two female subjects in period-appropriate attire; the male figures are shown wearing high collars and one in a top hat, while the female figures are shown in bonnets with ribbons. The black silhouettes are printed or applied to a paper substrate that exhibits an intentional or age-related crazed texture across the entire surface.
