Lot 79:
Frosted Blue Glass Bud Vase with Ribbon
Sold for: $25
Description
9 x 8 inches. A hand-blown studio glass bud vase featuring a bulbous body, tapered neck, and a flared, flat rim. The vessel is crafted from dark blue glass with a matte, acid-etched or sandblasted finish. The body is decorated with gold-toned metallic aventurine speckles suspended within the glass, along with translucent, pale blue swirling lines that wrap around the circumference. A frosted glass ribbon wrap is applied to the shoulder, terminating in a stylized flattened knot on the front. The underside of the base features faint, incised characters that appear to be a signature; however, the script is not legible as a specific name due to the frosted surface texture.
