Horse Sleigh Bell Straps & Bells
Description
Longest strap length: 22 inches Red strap length: 20 inches. A collection of harness and sleigh bells featuring various sizes and materials. The lot includes a dark brown leather strap fitted with ten graduated brass bells, each featuring a classic petal design and secured to the leather with metal pins. A second, bright red synthetic strap contains nine nickel-plated steel bells of uniform size, each characterized by a cross-slit design. The set also includes a short tan leather hand or ankle strap with three large nickel-plated steel bells, secured with a leather lace tie. Also present is a cluster of seven nickel-plated steel bells bundled with a worn leather cord, alongside an assortment of approximately fifteen loose nickel-plated steel bells in various small sizes. The bells are constructed from cast brass and nickel-plated steel, mounted on leather and synthetic strap materials. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the bells or the straps.
