Lot 476:
Description
An assortment of mid-century holiday decorations comprising ceramic, plastic, and mercury glass components. The collection includes two hand-painted ceramic Santa Claus figurines with a glossy red and white glaze; one stands with a brown toy sack and the other is in a similar pose with variations in facial detailing. Also included are two ceramic Santa boot planters, one larger with a smooth white cuff and one smaller with a textured cuff featuring a holly leaf and berry motif. The set contains a large white plastic doe figurine with painted blue eyes and a red harness, as well as a smaller white plastic reindeer. A multi-piece team of six small brown plastic reindeer is attached to a red plastic lead, pulling a cream-colored plastic sleigh carrying a small Santa figure. Other decorative elements include a chrome-finished plastic sleigh, a silver-tone metal five-pointed star ornament with a suspension loop, and a small diorama ornament featuring a figure in red beside a green bottle brush tree on a glittered base. The glass elements consist of several strands of mercury glass bead garlands in silver and green finishes, a strand of clear faceted plastic beads, and a group of miniature mercury glass ornaments in ball and bell shapes with gold, blue, and green finishes.
