Description

A group of numismatic items comprising a variety of European circulation and commemorative coins alongside a novelty banknote. The collection includes a 1978 West German 5 Deutsche Mark silver commemorative coin, featuring a Gustav Stresemann obverse and a German eagle reverse with the Munich "D" mint mark. A 1966 Portuguese 20 Escudos coin depicts the Salazar Bridge (Ponte Salazar) on the obverse and the Portuguese coat of arms on the reverse. Also included is an Italian 500 Lira coin showing three caravels. One small, dark bronze coin is housed in a white card flip accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Robin L. Danziger, Member ANA #R-164636, identifying the piece as a genuine Imperial Roman bronze coin minted between 240 and 410 A.D. The lot further contains a gold-colored novelty banknote designed after a 100 Euro bill. The banknote is marked 24K GOLD on the reverse and includes a serial number S9999999999999. The note is also marked MADE IN U.S.A. on the lower right corner of the obverse. The novelty banknote measures approximately 6 inches in length.
