Description
This hat form is constructed from a solid block of turned hardwood, exhibiting a dense grain and a dark, aged patina. The tool consists of a large, dome-shaped base designed for shaping or stretching the crowns of hats. A vertical cylindrical handle is inserted into the center of the dome to facilitate handling during the millinery process. The wood surface shows significant evidence of historical use, including dark staining and a weathered texture. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the object.
