Antique Knights of Pythias Initiation Spikes of Steel Psychological Ritual Box, Steps and Spikes
Description
Early Victorian era Knights of Pythias fraternal wooden initiation "Spikes of Steel" box holding two steps, two step side panels, two wood triangles (The Ward-Stilson Co Lodge Goods tag on one) with steel spikes and a handful of extra spikes. The box measures 29" x 14 1/2" x 25" with faint painted letter on the lid, painted letters on each step, all of the initiation pieces pack into the wood storage box, a few deteriorated pieces of paper were found with the box – Signal Knob Lodge No 90 Knights of Pythias Ansted W. Va – the box is sturdy with added braces to the underside of the wood plank lid and scattered age to the materials.
