Description
A collection of prehistoric North American artifacts presented in a black shadowbox display case with a white fiber backing. The assembly features an assortment of lithic projectile points in various forms, including stemmed, notched, and lanceolate types, fashioned from diverse varieties of chert and flint in shades of gray, tan, and dark brown. Centrally placed is a slender, elongated lithic tool. The items are identified by several embossed black plastic adhesive labels with white lettering. A central label reads PREHISTORIC TENNESSEE POINTS. A smaller label to the left reads OHIO. A label to the right of the slender lithic tool reads DRILL. A long label at the base reads HO HO KAM BEADS / NATIVE COPPER RINGS. The artifacts exhibit characteristic prehistoric wear, including bifacial flaking, minor edge chipping, and mineral patination consistent with lithic tools of these types.Measurements/notes: 12 in.
