Description
This group of Mid-Century Modern art glass features a variety of manual glassmaking techniques across several distinct forms. The collection includes a translucent blue bowl executed in the bullicante technique, characterized by controlled interior bubbles. This piece features a deeply ruffled rim and a polished pontil base. The base bears an incised signature that reads ASHO MURANO (photo 5). (photo 4). Also present is a trilobed dish or ashtray featuring a sommerso color transition from a clear and amber-toned center to vibrant red pointed rims. The collection further includes a large amber-colored swung glass bowl with an undulating, organic rim and a thick, dark-cased base.Measurements/notes: 4 pieces; longest 7 in. L.
