Description
A decorative clear glass paperweight of flattened spherical form, featuring an encased miniature pewter-toned metal figure. The figure depicts a rider in mid-gallop on a horse, with reins, a saddle, and a saddlebag clearly defined. The figure is mounted on a textured metallic base finished in the same pewter color, which rests upon an internal amber-colored glass disc. The front of the miniature’s textured base features raised lettering that reads PONY EXPRESS. The underside of the glass is flat and covered with a circular piece of green felt. The felt is affixed to a metal plate that appears to be the bottom of the internal display.Measurements/notes: 5.5 in. L x 4 in. H.
