Description
This kris features a steel blade of luk or wavy form, characterized by visible forging patterns and a slight taper toward the point. The blade is fitted to a hilt of non-ferrous, silver-colored metal, which is elaborately decorated with chased and embossed floral and foliate scrollwork. The scabbard is composed of a matching metal sheath, featuring a wide wrangka (throat protector) with a prominent repousse Kala mask motif depicting a demonic face. The hilt is secured to the blade tang with a metal collar, and the reverse of the scabbard appears plain with visible surface wear and oxidation.Measurements/notes: 18.75 in. L.
