Description
A decorative cast metal figurine of a standing horse, modeled after the traditional aesthetic of Chinese Tang dynasty pottery. The figure is depicted in a static four-square pose with a docked tail. It features an ornate saddle draped over the back, detailed with relief-molded patterns and secured by a breastplate and crupper adorned with circular floral-motif bosses. The head is sculpted with a short mane and a bridle including bit details. The surface is treated with a heavily textured, distressed finish consisting of an ochre and white wash over a darker base metal to simulate the appearance of aged terracotta or patinated bronze. No maker’s marks, signatures, or country of origin labels are visible on the exterior of the figurine.Measurements/notes: 11 in. L x 10.5 in. H.
