Description
A tabletop storage cabinet constructed from stamped and embossed sheet metal with an applied distressed finish in copper and verdigris green tones. The piece features an arched pediment decorated with a relief of a two-humped camel standing between a palm tree and desert shrubs. The two front doors are embossed with mirrored scenes of large palm trees and smaller vegetation, framed by corner scrollwork. The curved roof and side panels are further embellished with a repeating pattern of scrolling leafy vines and clusters of berries. The cabinet is elevated on four metal feet terminating in scrolls. The interior is finished in a uniform reddish-brown paint and contains a single fixed horizontal shelf. No maker’s name, marks, or labels were observed on the object.Measurements/notes: 13.75 in.
