Description
An assortment of mid-20th-century field gear including two plastic canteens, an aluminum hot water bottle, and a gas mask filter. One canteen is constructed from olive drab plastic and is housed in a green canvas carrier featuring two snap closures and a metal belt clip. A second brown plastic canteen is embossed on the front with the four-line instructional text: FOR WATER ONLY DO NOT APPLY CANTEEN TO OPEN FLAME OR BURNER PLATES. The underside of the aluminum bottle features an impressed cursive mark reading Regal. Also present is a dark brown metal gas mask filter, stamped on the top with the text Zivilschutzfilter 68. The base of the filter has an adhesive paper label featuring a black arrow and German text that reads Hier Stopfen abziehen dann Kappe abschrauben.Measurements/notes: Water canteen 7.5 in. round.
