Description
An assortment of lithographed tin containers for various household, sewing machine, and specialty lubricants, primarily originating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The collection includes a red and white tin marked SOHIO HOME OILER with a capacity of 4 fl. oz., featuring blue line illustrations of a bicycle, lawn mower, and washing machine on the reverse side (Photo 5). A silver-toned tin is marked GOMCO OIL For Rotary-Suction and Pressure Units and features a shield logo for GOMCO EQUIPMENT, identifying the manufacturer as GOMCO SURGICAL MANUFACTURING CORPORATION, BUFFALO, N.Y. 14211 (Photo 2).
