Description
A group of United States military field equipment comprising a canteen in a canvas cover, a two-piece mess kit, and a three-piece set of utensils. The canteen is constructed of metal with a black plastic screw-on cap secured by a metal chain, housed within an olive drab canvas cover featuring two snap-button closures and a wire belt attachment on the reverse. The aluminium mess kit consists of a deep pan and a divided lid, held together by a folding metal handle. This handle is impressed with a mark reading U.S., M.A. CO., and the date 1942. The set of utensils includes a spoon, a four-tine fork, and a rounded-tip knife, each with a handle stamped U.S.
