Description
A collection of Bronze Age comic books and one magazine-sized publication produced by the Marvel Comics Group, dating from the mid-1970s. The group focuses heavily on martial arts and adventure titles. Included is a magazine-sized publication titled Savage Fists of Kung Fu Special Collector’s Edition number 1 (1975). Standard format comic books include various issues of Master of Kung Fu, specifically issue numbers 17, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, and 36, and Marvel Premiere featuring Iron Fist, issue numbers 15, 16, 18, and 24. The lot further contains several 68-page Giant-Size format issues: Conan the Barbarian number 5, Master of Kung Fu numbers 3 and 4, Marvel Triple Action number 2, Man-Thing number 2, Fantastic Four number 5, and Defenders number 4. Each item bears the printed banner reading MARVEL COMICS GROUP and most include a printed Comics Code Authority seal. Original printed prices on the covers include 20c, 25c, 30c, 50c, and $1.50.
