Description
A pair of antique salad serving utensils, including a shell-shaped serving spoon and a four-tined serving fork. The metal components are executed in an ornate Art Nouveau style, featuring embossed foliate scrolls and a central stylized mask or Green Man motif at the base of the bowls and tines. The spoon bowl is scalloped in a shell form, while the fork tines are shaped with wavy edges. The metal shanks are joined to natural antler handles by rounded ferrules secured with small pins. On the reverse of each metal shank, there is a small, rectangular impressed mark containing the characters R.S.Co. followed by periods.
