Description
This parlor-style revolving wheel kaleidoscope features a dark-stained wood viewing tube and a tiered rectangular wooden base with polished brass hardware. The viewing aperture contains a three-mirror system that creates a triangular mandalic pattern from the rotating wheel. The ornate brass-framed object wheel is decorated with segments of multi-colored textured glass, colorful beads, intricate metal filigree, and a large central faux pearl. The wheel is turned by a manual T-handle winding mechanism on the base, connected to the axle by a black rubber pulley belt. A small white rectangular label is affixed to the vertical brass and wood support, but the characters are not legible. The wooden base measures approximately 10 inches in length. Note: Working.
