Description
A vintage American utility knife featuring a curved carbon steel skinning blade. The handle is constructed of two light-colored wooden scales secured to a full tang with five flush-mounted rivets. An impressed metal bolster plate at the junction of the blade and handle features the stamped name RUSSELL above the text PAT PEND. The construction and markings are consistent with early 20th-century production by the John Russell Cutlery Company. Total length measures approximately 10.75 inches; the blade length is approximately 5.5 inches.
