Lot 704:
Description
A Japanese single-blade folding pocket knife designed in the figural shape of the Concorde supersonic transport aircraft. The handle is constructed from cast metal with a gold-toned finish, molded to represent the profile of the jet including its delta wings and needle-shaped fuselage. The lower section of the handle features the relief-cast word Concorde in stylized script, and the registration G-BSST is cast onto the upper fuselage section. The single stainless steel blade has a drop-point profile and is equipped with a nail nick for opening. The tang of the blade is impressed with three lines of text reading STAINLESS over STEEL over JAPAN. The knife operates on a simple slipjoint folding mechanism.
