Description
A large-format naval signal flag representing the letter M (Mike) in the International Code of Signals. The flag features a white diagonal saltire centered on a navy blue field. It is constructed from multi-piece sewn bunting with heavy-duty stitching along the seams. The hoist edge consists of a white canvas header containing a rope line terminated with a single oxidized metal Inglefield clip. Attached to the clip is a white cardstock tag with handwritten text in purple ink reading British Columbia Naval Flag. A small pink rectangular adhesive label on the tag is printed with 89-. The construction style and hardware suggest mid-20th-century maritime use. 42×50
