The garment is constructed from a gold metallic tinsel or lame fabric with contrasting panels and trim in a red ribbed corded textile. The garment is heavily embellished with rows of domed brass-toned metal studs and stamped metal floral ornaments. It features tiered double-layer cap sleeves and a full-length center-back opening secured by metal hook-and-eye closures. The interior is fully lined with a thin, blue and white vertically striped fabric. A dark brown woven label with gold-colored text is sewn into the interior neck area reading The M.C.LILLEY & CO.
