Description
A stylized bird sculpture crafted from burnished black pottery. The figure features a simplified, modern form with a smooth, dark polished exterior. Incised decorative lines define the wings and body, and the flared tail is accented with three sets of incised concentric circles. The head is shaped with a short beak and large, round eyes outlined by incised rings. The sculpture is designed to rest on its flattened breast and has a hollow interior. No signatures, maker marks, or labels are visible on the exterior or within the hollow base. Length: 7.75 inches.
