Description
This item is a two-piece galvanized steel minnow bait bucket. The assembly consists of a solid-walled outer pail with a wire bail handle, a perforated inner metal liner designed to be lifted for water drainage, and a matching lid. The lid features a central perforated aeration section and a wire ring pull handle. The exterior of the outer bucket retains remnants of a blue painted finish. A small rectangular cream-colored paper label is adhered to the lid, bearing the handwritten text Blue Bait 20 in ink; the text appears to be a dealer or inventory notation and is not legible as a manufacturer name. No other marks, stamps, embossed names, or country-of-origin labels are visible on the metal surfaces of any component. The construction utilizes soldered seams and simple wire hardware consistent with mid-20th-century manufacturing.
