Description

A set of mid-century modern white enameled metal kitchenware designed by Georges Briard. The set includes three graduated canisters and one small lidded pot with two handles. The exterior of each piece is decorated with a stylized fruit and botanical pattern featuring a central orange pineapple with a brown cross-hatch design, a red strawberry, a green and white leaf, and abstract geometric shapes in light blue, yellow, and gold-tone. The three canisters are labeled with gold-toned serif lettering reading FLOUR, SUGAR, and COOKIES respectively. The small pot features horizontal black and gold-toned stripes on the handles. Each vessel is fitted with a lid topped by a circular brass-toned knob. A cursive signature is printed in black on the front of every piece, located directly below the pineapple graphic, reading Georges Briard. The signature is clearly legible as a name. The interiors are finished in white enamel. The rims of the vessels and lids are finished with a gold-toned metallic edge.
